1. The Lost Boys
How could a billion Chinese people be wrong?

I have more copies, VHS and DVD of The Lost Boys than any other film, 5. So far I've resisted buying the Blu-Ray but it won't be long. It's not hi-brow or artsy, it's not the Godfather or Scarface and unlike these two films, The Lost Boys is a genuine classic.

It's trailer was on the beginning of every video I rented for about a year before it's release, I had never seen anything like it. I guess I would have been about 14.

Of course when finally released and I traipsed up to the Top Shop, my local video rental shop, it always had the dreaded rubber band around the box to say it was already out on rent, this happened for weeks on end. Then one day, just as I had given up and was about to rent some other shit, a kid walked in to return it... and bang, finally I had my grubby mitts on it.

It was everything I hoped for, cool cast, Star and the best soundtrack to any film ever. The Lost Boys remains the only film I have ever seen that actually lived up to the anticipation created by the trailer.

Forget the sequels, total waste of time! This is where it's at.

Death by stereo!
